edit: possible spoiler about the end I guess, but tit isnt like it was a big surprise ending - I just gave away when it ends his story. I just read this and thought it would be a good idea to edit it and anyone who is reviewing a Movie - PLEASE note if there is possible spoilers in your review at the top. Thanks.

Glad you pinned this one back up Greg - I was about to do it (it makes a good staple for anything goes). I may have posted this but to recap my last movie - Walk the Line. I not a country music person but I respected the life of Cash.

he changed the direction of several music genres. When i think of a movie boigraphy of a singer, i think it should make you appreciate it even if it wasnt your type of music.

"Walk the line did not do that for me" There was some good acting but they really ddnt get into the meat of his life at all. Just tip toed around it. Showed him taking pills and hinted that it was a big problem but didnt do his life justice even for the casual fan. I think this one was built up too much. It was all about him wanting June Carter and she kept saying no he was married. it just went back and forth until he asked her to marry him on stage and the movie was over. It wasnt even a good ramance for the ladies as far as im concerned. 1 * out of 5. I might not have thought it a waste of time if they had not hyoed it so much. Thats my biggest pet peeve. Over hype - and it was probably just because of the timing with him just dying. Not a good movie IMO.

Kong on the other hand was awsome even if you have seen too many remakes of it. Its long though and once it get about 45 minutes in there is no good place to pause since one heart pounding momment just leads to another.

Anyone seen Munich? I think I might get that next.

A movie that I'm not sure if it went to the theatre but is funny as hell is Grandma's Boy. It's a Happy Madison production, and it's funny as hell, if you don't mind a little toilet humor!

GREAT movie, IMO. Depressing though. It suggests that the cycle of terrorism will never end. Righties call it propoganda. I just think it was a strong statement regardless of affiliation.

I agree and the only thing I will add is that the end of the movie just fell off the face of the earth. ***1/2

Walk the Line: is Ray for Johnny Cash Fans. **

Lucky number Sleven: **1/2

Supersize Me: very interesting, I thought the poor dude was going to die! ***

Jarhead: close to real at some points in the movie and I would know cuz I be one. ***

Stealth: hyped up plane that caused a bunch of hype. **

Friday Night Lights: damn good football movie. ****

Mission Impossible III - lots of action. Camera angles are really shaky and made my wife sick to her stomach. They do that to cover up all of the imperfections. Good story line. I think Tom Cruise is Brokeback!

Cheramie I loved Ray. I dont think even the best of Johnny Cash fans could say its in the same League in any way. Acting, Direction....you name it. It was timing i guess. I really think his story could have been told better and i dont even know what all of his stories are. They both changed the facr of music but one made a good movie and the other just came up short of me even suggeasting to give it a try. Maybe Im jaded.

I still want to see Munich. And I dont think we will see the end of terrorism in our life time. Maybe not even our childrens. I mean Im not pesimistic so much as a just cant visualize how? Since it take an y group no mater how small to seek something religious or petty. I just dont see a logical end. I wish I could.

Ah Jarhead. Thats one i missed. Wish i had seen that earlier since Sunday night is slow. Im watching Suns/Mavs instead with nothing after that. Hey maybe i can still go get it. B)

X-Men III was the best movie of well......the last month considering how much I liked V for Vendetta. That said, it was a great movie and my favorite of the three! I won't spoil it for you, but go see it!

I agree Austin, I can't wait for V to come out on DVD so I can watch it about 300 times. That movie rocked. I guess I will have to go see X-Men now.

I missed V, Guess that will go in my Netflix Que. If anybody out there is a horror fan, skip on "See No Evil" with Kane as the bad guy. No story to speak of, a good bit of gore, really no suspense at all. IMO, it was a pale shade of Friday the 13th. Except Friday had a better story line! ;) *1/2

I saw The Divinci Code last night and I guess you had to read the book because after the first 45 minutes I was bored out of my mind.

I've heard it said that you have to have a little background on the subject to get the movie.

Know anything about Opus Dei?

I knew a little about them prior to the movie and was surprised at how much I actually knew about the movie. I guess that's what 46 years of age will give you. A little knowledge about stuff you never thought you would need.

I hear ya. If you live long enough, you'll experience everything at least once.
