1. Charles Grant gets cut (and bleeds gravy). He's old, he's reportedly fat and out of shape, he's got some potential legal issues and he was never that good in the first place. Add in the suspension, and I think we're better off taking our medicine (cap hit) and sending Chuckie to the farm. Give him a shot at TC, and if (when) he fails, hand the reigns permanently to Bobby McCray.

2. Pierson Prioleau or Darren Sharper gets cut before the season. If I had to bet, Prioleau is the one to go. Sharper's older, but he's produced more in recent seasons that PP and his count'em 1 career interception that he got 9 fucking years ago (PP? more like poopoo, zing! take that BHS).

3. Usama eventually starts at FS. By all reports, he's making the switch as well as can be expected. A lot of people including me have lauded his physical ablilities and he's a heady player as well. I could see Sharper starting the season, getting injured and permanently losing the starting gig to Young.

4. Fishing Buddy #2, AKA Shanle (hat tip to rabb), gets jettisoned, too. Maybe it's Dunbar, maybe it's Simoneau, maybe it's Anthony Waters and his finally healed ACL...hell, maybe we get lucky and someone dumps a decent WIL during training camp.

5. 26 year old, newly rededicated Mike Bell, with his half season's worth of career carries (176) has a huge impact as the season wears on. Because...

6. Let's face it, Reggie's going to get injured. I know y'all don't want to hear that, but that es la verdad. I'm not a doctor, but i drive by Jimmy Andrews' clinic all the time. That knee problem is not getting better. But it's okay because...

7. Drew Brees and Jonathan Vilma will this team through a brutal schedule to a 10-6 record and a WC spot in the playoffs. We lose in the divisional round to Peyton's little brother in a revenge game at the Meadowlands with an injury depleted roster. We saints fans are relatively sanguine after the season because our boys fought hard and played with class until the end.

So yeah...there you have it.

My wild prediction is that Shanle is replaced by Derrick Brooks right before the 3rd preseason game.

Grant will be here this season...next season no.

Pierlou will be cut...he's garbage

Young will start by midseason

Shanle will be cut, as will Dunbar. Next year Fujitas when Spikes is drafted number 1. Casillas, Spikes, and Vilma = Dome Patrol 2....Arnoux will see some time next year.

Bell and PT = meh....the big back will be drafted # 2 next year after Spikes.

Reggie probably will be hurt...as will Pierre

Mr. Vick will be a Saint by mid training camp, if not sooner. Brees goes down in game 3, Vick takes over and goes off. Saints fans kiss Mr. Vick's arse and dangle from his gonads.

Brees is traded to Seahawks for #1 pick and 3 pick. Eric Berry is taken with this pick. Harper is shown the door.

17-2 final record, due to Bressus losing first 2 games.

I've liked what I've seen from Spikes @ FLA, but doesn't he play MLB? If he does, does he have the skills to play OLB? (yeah I know its not even training camp and I responding to a topic that is in next years draft... so sue me!)

Fellas, these are supposed to be "wild predictions", not a topic of dispute.

Try it--it might even be fun.

My wild prediction? Reggie stays healthy all 16 games. And leads the team in touchdowns.

My "wild" prediction:

Reggie not only stays healthy for all 16, but he leads the league in scoring, is in the top 15 in receiving with 80 catches for nearly 1000 yards and 8 receiving TD, has 200 carries for 850 yards (4.25 per) and 6 rushing TDs, and brings another 4 back on punts. Bush is talked about as potential MVP, with well over 2200 all purpose yards (1000 rushing, 850 receiving, 350+ returns) and 18 TDs on the season. Bush fails to score in only 2 games all season.

My "wild" prediction #2:
McCrary starts at DE across from Big Willie Smith. Grant is shuttled in and out at DT and DE. On passing downs, we often go with Smith, Ellis, Grant, McCrary. On rushing downs we regularly go Smith, Ellis, Clancy, McCray/Grant. McCray has 7 sack on the season as a stand up OLB, when GW pulls a switcharoo and goes with Smith, Ellis, and Grant down, with Fujita, Vilma, Dunbar, and McCrary up.

My "not so wild" prediction:
Drew Brees takes every snap at QB this year. He throws for 4300 yards and 28 TDs with 14 INTs and a 65% completion percentage. He goes back to the Pro Bowl.

May I add that Reggie makes his first Pro Bowl, as a running back.

My wild prediction is that Wll Smith & Bobby McRay both get over the 10+ sack mark.

My wild predictions:

We trade our entire next year's draft for Beanie Wells and Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie. PT is a no better than a 3rd RB, and no CB on our roster comes anywhere close to Jenkins in terms and talent.
We sign Michael Vick and Aaron Brooks - we know Brees is a giant choke artist and that Sean Payton is chomping at the bit to get a versatile QB.
Cie grant comes out of retirement to replace Fujita, and a one-legged Arnoux beats out Shanle at will.
Will Smith gets 20 sacks in 12 games.
Jermon Bushrod beats out Stinchcomb at tackle, because Stinch sucks. And you know, he's white, so of course he has limited potential.
Lance Moore demonstrates that he is a legit #1 WR by surpassing everyone on the depth chart with the help of a crow bar and having Mike Vick's superior more accurate arm throwing to him.
Don't feed the Calico.

Best impression ever. That could only have been topped with a "come holla at ya boy."
