Variety reports that Showtime is putting together a project with Stan Lee that examines a superhero who is a homosexual.

Based on the book Hero by Perry Moore, the story will focus on a new superhero and the double life he leads.

Lee will executive produce the untitled project along with Gill Champion. Champion is the CEO and president of Lee's Pow! Entertainment.

Perry Moore will be writing the screenplay with Hunter Hill.

Honestly, I don't understand why they don't just make a movie using already established gay comic book characters like midnighter from the authority....that would be awesome

they should do the ambiguously gay duo
Richard Griffin, meanwhile, bones his wife at the baseball meetings and makes babies with her like a real man, goddammit.

everything is good and it's gonna be that way forever

Maybe they're hoping to turn it into a series, which would probably make it easier to just come up with new stuff instead of trying to bring an established comic to film.
